Anniversaries 2017

  1. We had a small Thanksgiving as part of our Sunday Service on the 2nd of July to mark the 160th anniversary of the opening of our church building.
We are very thankful to God for His provision in continuing this ministry in the Hinton area over so many years.
There is a very brief summary of our origins on our About Us page.

  2. On Sunday 17th September we celebrated the 160th anniversary of the service that formally recognised the commencement of Baptist work at Hinton.
We welcomed a number of visitors from our Association of Baptist Churches, others who had been associated with the work here, and some who had a connection via relatives, etc.
We also welcomed a representative from the Bible Society who are celebrating 200 years in Australia.
(This year is also the 500th anniversary of the Reformation – a very significant point in history for protestants.)

  3. As part of our 160th celebrations, we hosted a Spring Fair on Saturday 30th September. We were encouraged by the good response and positive feedback we received again this year. The proceeds from the day are going to the work of spreading the Good News of God’s Love in caring for people’s spiritual and physical needs via various local and overseas mission works. Thank you to all those who by your presence contributed to the success of the day and helped us celebrate.

A Message of Hope

The video below was posted last Easter, however it has perennial value.
It gives an insight into
this most significant anniversary in the Christian calendar.
